Today is September 14. On this day in 1955, Richard Penniman, AKA "Little Richard," went to a New Orleans recording studio and banged out a version of the song "Tutti Frutti," which went on to become on of the world's first rock'n'roll hit songs. Little Richard had performed the song live many times, but its lyrics were far too raunchy for wider (and whiter) audiences, so he changed them. For example, the lyric we know as "Tutti frutti, all rooty" was originally "Tutti Frutti, ____ ______." Fill in those blanks!
