You guys, the patio is finally open! And it's beautiful! Now if only the mic would get reception out there...

A bit of an upset last night as Stephen Hawking's Voicebox (a/k/a Bangarang, Peter!) finally beat out 4th Dream Deep for the $25 Granite City gift card! And not just one point, but two. Congrats on finally beating your self-described rivals! 4th Dream Deep still ended up in 2nd to keep their GC gc streak alive, $15 is better than nothing. Big ups to newcomers The Broners for coming in third, as well as the free pitcher at the half! I hope to see a three-way (or more) rivalry coming into these summer months. Well at least the snow held off for our trivia night. Plenty of teams made it out and packed the bar yet again, you Maple Grovers sure dig this trivia thing huh? We recapped last year's Kentucky Derby, we learned who Giovanni Ribisi was, what more can you ask for in a trivia night? A $25 Granite City gift card perhaps, that's what 4th Dream Deep got in their second consecutive win! Bangarang, Peter! followed them up again and got themselves a $15 gift card, but they won't be happy until they win again. Pie broke the tie at #3 and won themselves some free passes to check out the MORE REAL exhibit at MIA! Check out all of our winners below!

4.25.13 Trivia: Now Featuring Live NFL Draft Commentary!

I swear I was paying attention to you guys and not the draft...

Luckily most of the bar was with me! We had a great time playing trivia and watching the Vikings 'win' the draft. Drinks were had, delicious flatbread pizzas were ate (eaten?), and best of all, there was NO BLIZZARD! For like the first time since October I think, I haven't been keeping track. The bar was packed, full of our regular teams. Even The Low T's made it out for their first Thursday! 4th Dream Deep attempted to argue the fact that last week's weather shouldn't break their streak. I consulted the Trivia Gods for you, unfortunately your streak stays broken. But hey, you're back at one now at least! Here are all of our winners below.

4.18.13 A Run of the Mill April Blizzard Edition

Another Thursday, another April blizzard. Nothing new, right? Our Thursday attendance did take a hit due to the weather, but big props to our regulars who braved the storm and made it out! The 4th Dream Deep run has ended. By default, they didn't make it out tonight. But their self-described main rivals, Bangarang Peter! did, and they did not pass up the opportunity to grab their first $25 gift card! Congrats on your first win guys! The beautiful Ananda didn't win anything, but she did let me keep score on her arm. Who needs answer sheets?! Congrats on the 30 points!

Ambrose tied with Mike Lowry for third, so they each got a free appetizer! Unfortunately I was only able to snap a picture of the one remaining Ambrose member, but it's probably the best picture I've ever used in this blog. For so many reasons.

4.11.13 A very special Unplugged edition of TNT

Rabble rabble rabble, weather weather weather. Trivia was almost cancelled last night, due to the Thundersnow April blizzard and lack of a sound system. But that didn't stop us from running Maple Grove's Number 1 and Only Trivia Experience! I got the opportunity to get to know the tables a bit better, walking around and reading the questions in person to each of the teams. My voice regrets it, but I cherish our intimate trivia moments.

We have our first four-peat of the new Thursday night regime! Fourth Dream Deep trailed by a point at the half, but came back with an absolutely perfect second half, ending up with a whopping 53 total points! They just barely beat out their new rivals, this week known as Bangarang, Peter, who ended up with an impressive 51 points. Finally, the cross-Atlantic team of J/K pulled in at third. Also there was a team [who I shall not name] who went 0-15 in the first half. I gave them a magnet and told them to study up for next week! Check out our internet superstars below!
