We celebrated a lot of things last night: The beautiful weather, the creamy deliciousness of mayonnaise, the difficulty of spelling said deliciousness, Sean's absence, Nate's presence, Star Wars, and, weirdly, flowers. But one bittersweet thread ran through the night, and that was the untimely passing Chris Kelly of Kris Kross. If Heaven has a mass transit system, it's got one more passenger running late.

How did we honor his memory? With a tiebreaking Jump-off, of course.

And so, without further ado, I present the Daddy Macks of trivia last night:

April 28: Balls! And some winning teams too.

Who are these Brain Elevators? They came out of nowhere and have dominated ever since, and to them I say, Welcome! It's nice to have some new faces on this blog. And what handsome faces they are:

The other end of the nice-face spectrum (jk ladies!): Nipple Chaffing! What are they doing way up here in second place? Oh yeah, they got themselves a Dick Genius lurking in the back there...

April 21: Four smart teams (and one dumb one)

And the Learn Some Shit Award goes to: Pteam Pterodactyl!

Funny story: There once was a team that did so well soooo often that they began to wonder what it was like for all of the teams that never won at all. "We know what first feels like," they said. "And nobody's perfect, so we even know what second place feels like." And then they remembered, "Oh yeah, we got third once too. Wasn't that something?" But fourth? What does that feel like, they wondered? Or, my God, fifth! And so they let their imaginations wander all the way down to Most Average, where they stopped and said, "You guys, Most Average gets to DJ. Can you imagine? I'm mean, a $40 gift card is great, but DJing! And free wine! And hanging out with Chuck and Sean! It's almost too good to be true!" And so they hatched a plan to engineer an average score by "forgetting" to do their mega round. "Surley that will make us average!" they thought. Never did they consider a fate much more embarassing: The Learn Some Shit Award.

And so it came to pass that Pteam Pterodactyl, who once flew so high, decided to swoop a little lower, and ended up crash-landing into last place.

The moral of the story: I don't know. You figure it out.

March 24: Palm Sunday, a day for remembering how to roll "L" joints

Remember last Sunday, when we all learned what an "L" is? Just as Jesus would've wanted when he... did... whatever it was that he did that day. Yeah.

Aw hell, "The Bible" was always my worst Jeopardy category, and I was in high school before I learned Easter was anything more than a holiday about bunnies, so I wasn't even aware of the significance of last Sunday until Face Palm Sunday enlightened me. Great team name, by the by. Speaking of which, lets get to those teams:

Second place: The Grand Tetons!

Third, the aforementioned Face Palm Sunday!

These people are St. Patrick's Day trivia winners. What are you? Probably crying yourself to sleep at night, that's what.

1st place was this team, the Cute Animals, with 53 points. Who are they? They're people who did some things and won. Hooray!

2nd place were the gradegrubbers Dick Genius, who everyone hates but they'd still probably sleep with if there was enough tequila around. 52 points!

3rd place were these guys, the Sticky Zipper Dragons with 51 points! There's a Game of Thrones joke in there somewhere...

We're Not Your Real Dads

Just like that that "Uncle Carl" guy that's staying with your mom, Matt Perkins and I tried our best to provide guidance and an adult presence in your lives. I think it turned out pretty well and, to use DJ Zubaz's baseball lingo, we provided a high Value Over Replacement for the evening. On to the winners!

First place went to Bill Spears Spills Beers with 54 points! Welcome back!

Second place in a tiebreaker was Pteam Pterodactyl, pulling in 53 bigguns.

In third was Panic! At the Costco, winning the Bananagrams and the right to pretend said Bananagrams are your privates.

Fourth place won a bunch of crap but 3 1/2 White Girls were happy anyway.

And last and least was The Wuds's, your Learn Some Shit Winners with 33 points.
